Due to the Coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak, the H5P Conference 2020 will have to change. We are working on ways to make as much of the conference program available to all registrants and also the rest of the H5P community. We will be delivering the program in ways that are safer, more environmentally friendly, and more accessible to every member of the H5P community.

We are deeply sorry that it no longer seems possible to safely arrange the face to face aspect of our May conference in Madison. The H5P Conference attracts speakers and guests from all over the world, and even with medical breakthroughs in the next couple of months, it is almost impossible to imagine that everything will be under control by May.

All registration fees will be refunded in full. The direct expenses the venue has incurred so far will be covered by H5P.com.

It is difficult to reschedule the physical facet of the conference right now as it is impossible to know when things will return back to normal again. We do hope that we will be able to host a US H5P Conference in the near future.

The H5P Conference is an arena for inspiration, learning, and gathering strength & unity around the vision of H5P. The H5P Conference 2020 was also planned to be a huge release party and an arena to connect and build long lasting relationships between members of the H5P community.

Some of the above is difficult to conduct virtually, and therefore will have to be postponed until it is safe to hold a physical conference. Other parts are possible to host virtually, and so we will. Right now the H5P Core Team is working on new features we think will help teachers who suddenly have to take their courses online. We will later announce how we will conduct our releases, how we can bring some of the conference content online in the best possible ways, and how we can create an arena for conference participants to interact with each other.

We will come back to you with more information as soon as the plans for a virtual conference are set, and when we are able to reschedule the H5P Conference.
